Obesity forms a major part of this category of medical disorders, which more often than not acts as a precursor to other physical disorders. Here at IFSO, sincere endeavors are made to provide a common platform for individuals related in the field of obesity prevention and cure. The 2017 IFSO, International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders World Congress is being hosted at QEII Centre, London from 29 August to 2 September. The congress offers a lucrative opportunity for sharing and enhancement of professional acumen for those involved in the study and practice in fields associated with metabolic disorders and obesity. IFSO is also interested with the highly responsible activity of providing accreditation to bariatric centers and medical practitioners showcasing beyond doubt that it is an organization which maintains high standards and promulgates the same amongst those who are either associated or use the platform provided by it for interaction. This forum provides a place for exchange of ideas and experiences of highly acclaimed surgeons and practitioners in the field of obesity cure, especially surgeries. The various surgical techniques, equipments used and the latest research work in the same field will be discussed.
